Two domains.
One conversation.
RTTP.COM asks where. IQA.ORG answers whether. Two schemes, two domains, one question-and-answer — and two of the oldest suffixes on the web, each still doing its ancestral job: .COM the operating side, .ORG the institutional one.
RTTP.COM
RTTP — Resonant Time Transfer Protocol. "Time transfer" is a real engineering discipline: keeping distant clocks in agreement without a shared wire. RTTP applies the same discipline to intent — an address that two parties compute into agreement: no lookup, no registry, no asking anyone. The name carries the mechanism: Resonant (agreement by computation), Time (the discipline it borrows), Transfer (the delivery of intent).
.COM is the operating side of the house: the packages on PyPI, npm and crates, the conformance vectors, the URI Center — where the question is tooled. A subject without standing can compute addresses here all day; the domain never asks who they are.
IQA.ORG
IQA — three readings, all true:
- International Quality Assurance — the institutional voice of the prefix.
- Image Quality Assessment — the true etymology. The name grew out of a real research field; the specification's own scope section says so. It survives scrutiny.
- "I QA" — I, the answerer. In the dual-scheme design
rttpasks andiqaanswers; the domain spells its role.
.ORG is where the answer is rendered: the Organs, the standing
vocabulary, the trust anchor. Every iqa URI ends in
.iqa — the namespace and the domain are the same
word, and the anchor lives at this address.
Q and A, as domain names
One scheme computes where; the other states whether. The two domains are literally the question and the answer of the same protocol — the questioning channel and the attestation channel, each with its own name, never merged, never confused.
rttp resolves where,
iqa states whether —
and where the two agree, action begins.
This page is about names, not norms. The normative texts are the combined Internet-Draft draft-li-rttp-iqa-addressing-00 and the reference specification it cites. Everything above is brand narrative — take the vectors instead: iqa.org/challenge/.
